Maintenance Officer
We are seeking an energetic and organised individual to join our team as a Maintenance Officer. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the maintenance needs within the school.
About the Position
Contract type: Full-time, all year round, permanent.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Start date: Immediate start available
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Key Holder.
- Ensure security and safety of the school site and grounds during working hours.
- Observe legislation regarding Health & Safety Regulations, Fire and Risk Assessment legislation and work alongside the Health & Safety Officer.
- Maintenance of all ground working equipment, tools, ladders, power tools, etc.
- Managing requests for maintenance/repairs.
- Managing on-site contractors, ensuring that they are competent and compliant.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- A basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical appliances and plumbing.
- Been driving for at least 2 years.
- Holds a D1 licence [desirable].
- Experience of opening/closing of the School site.
- Confident and capable of working both alone and as part of a team.
