Throughout your child’s school life at Wellesley Haddon Dene, they will have developed an inquisitive nature and love of learning. Our prep school aims to prepare your child for the challenges of senior school, providing a firm academic and personal grounding on which they can grow.
We aim to develop healthy, happy, and confident children both across and outside the curriculum. By promoting a strong work ethic, as well as high expectations, we ensure that your child makes their transition to secondary education as a well-rounded, accomplished individual.
The school day starts at 8.20am and the timetable is full and varied, with lots of time for sport and extra-curricular activities as diverse as chess and cooking, sailing and skateboarding and photography and painting.
Every child is kept informed of their progress and effort throughout the term, and has a tutor who supports and helps them to identify where they can make improvements. If additional educational support is identified we have a strong support team on hand. The majority of the prep school classrooms are located in the main school building, and all meals are eaten in the main dining room.
